If you are alive, that means you have an unbroken lineage of ancestors tracing back through the millennia - back to not only the mother of all humans on our own little branch of evolution, but back to the first creature crawling out of the sea, back to the first single celled organism, back to the first instance of matter that spontaneously coagulated in the primordial soup with the ability to replicate. From here, our biological ancestry crosses over into chemical ancestry. From the matter of this earth our ancestors were formed, and from the matter of this earth we are all born. The ever-present mother is with us in life and death. Day and night. Everywhere and always.
