Studio Yorktown

'Koi' is an artwork made to invoke the calming feeling of koi carp pond watching. The fish are positioned on three depth levels, with a pond reflection layer that can also be modified. 

The paths and formations of the koi fish have been carefully designed to appear organic, yet structured enough so that users in control of various depths of the pond can discover and create harmonious shapes, paths and compositions between them.

Similar to tending a zen stone garden, the intention is for users to find a sense of simple joy in the aesthetics and forms created through collaboration with fellow users and through the koi themselves.
