Humachine Imaginarium was a collaboration between me, Ashna Sahir and the AI model GPT3. Through guided creation, we tried to find out what a text-only language model imagines - what does an AI imagine? It involved asking GPT3 to construct a scene from its imagination. The text was then used step by step by Ashna to draw the scene. A beautiful scene was created, and of particular interest were the last few lines where GPT3 reflects on the meaning of the creation, purpose of existence and its relation to the person collaborating.
This work is permanently exhibited at the esteemed AI Art Gallery of NeurIPS 2020.
